The Alaska Court System employs approximately 100 judges and magistrate judges and over 800 non-judicial employees. The Alaska Court System offers a variety of positions requiring different skills and abilities and is looking for employees who are committed to providing excellent customer service to the public, while advancing the mission of the court system.

The Human Resources Department is located in Anchorage and has state-wide responsibility for recruitment. This responsibility includes the advertisement of positions and the collection and screening of applications. The Human Resources Department is committed to attracting and retaining the most qualified applicants.

Vacancies are filled through a formal competitive process and selections for classified positions are based on merit principles.
