IN THE SUPREME COURT OF THE STATE OF ALASKA

                            ORDER NO. 1268

                                      Amending Administrative Rule 9(b)
                                      and (c) concerning filing fees.

IT IS ORDERED:

   1.   Paragraph (b) of Administrative Rule 9 is amended to read as
follows:

   (b)  Filing Fees þ Superior Court:

   
             * * * *


        (3)  Upon filing of an adoption proceeding               50.00

             If the petitioner seeks to adopt more than
             one child at the same time, only one filing 
             fee will be charged even if a separate 
             petition is filed for each child.


             * * * *

   
        (11) Upon filing a petition for a domestic
             violence protective order                          no fee


   2.   Paragraph (c) of Administrative Rule 9 is amended to read as
follows:

   (c)  Filing Fees þ District Court:
   

             * * * *


        (3)  Filing fees, petitions for domestic                    
             violence protective order                          no fee

        (4)  There shall be no fee for filing 
             a presumptive death petition.
