IN THE SUPREME COURT OF THE STATE OF ALASKA

                        ORDER NO.    1357    

                                   Amending Administrative Rule 10
concerning exemption from payment of fees.



IT IS ORDERED:

          Administrative Rule 10 is amended to read as follows:


               * * * *

               (b)  A person who requests an exemption
of fees shall file an indigency statement on a form prescribed by
the administrative director of courts, except that a person
represented by an attorney furnished by the Alaska Legal Services
Corporation,  the Alaska Pro Bono Program, or the Alaska Network on
Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Pro Bono Program need not file
such a form.
          
               (c)  If a person files the documents
required by subparagraph (b) of this rule, or is represented by an
attorney furnished by the Alaska Legal Services Corporation,  the
Alaska Pro Bono Program, or the Alaska Network on Domestic Violence
and Sexual Assault Pro Bono Program, the clerk or magistrate shall
accept the pleadings for filing without payment of the filing fee.
